I’ve been in Australia for a week now. A week I’ve tried to write about on each day. Whilst I’ve been writing however, I have been choosing carefully what to write about. I didn’t mention for example that my husband’s mum went into hospital the day we landed in Melbourne or how that scared us both. I didn’t mention it because positive thinking always works. It did. She’s back home and safe and sound.
However, there are other moments which happen to quickly and unfortunately, yesterday my Nan passed away. It was very quick, sudden and unexpected. In a way that was best for her. Fast and sleepy is a good way to slip away. Obviously, we’re all in a bit of shock and the snowy weather in the UK isn’t helping my mum and dad get to Hereford. However, I know that she would want us all to put the kettle on, make a cup of tea, eat (the obligatory biscuit) and be happy with a full belly and a slight caffeine addiction. I managed to find a good tea shop today nan and had some rather posh Darjeeling with a scone. We also managed to get ourselves a house and things are looking good for Matt on the job front too. Thanks for looking out for us. I’ll miss you. x
