Christmas 2017

Christmas 2017 was a pretty awesome one.  It was certainly very social!  We had a slighly impromptu BBQ on Christmas eve, Xmas with our lovely neighbours Chris and Sheryl and then Boxing day over at their house playing Cricket and croquet.

Celebrations for Christmas started, as always, in November with the Adelaide Christmas Pageant.  Great fun but I’m not so sure that Tristan was all that excited by it this year. At times he seems more interested in the HotWheels car that A had brought with him.  We’ll have to think about whether we go next year or not.  We probably will!! hahaha.  We brought Chris and Cheryl with us this year too.  That was fun!

Tristan was so overwhelmed by all of his beautiful gifts that we were all exhausted trying to catch up with him as he ping-ponged between them all day. From a ninentendo Switch to a giant Monster Truck (and everything in between).  He was truley exctied by the magic of Christmas this year. He identified what he believed to be real elves from non real ones… and we put out 7 carrots and some home made mince pies for Father Christmas.  He tells me that he heard him saying “Ho. Ho, Ho!” on Christmas Eve.  That’s pretty special!

After the pageant, the tree goes up.  I know, that seems a little early to some, but that’s the tradition in these parts.  Once Santa reaches the end of the pageant you put up your xmas tree… end of…  I put up the tree but waited another week to decorate the rest of the house.  We also bought some new lights for the front of our home.  It’s it’s first Christmas! 😉

Christmas 2017!
