Tummy Time

Small Crawl AttemptSaturday marks the day that Tristan has been with us for five months.   FIVE MONTHS! How on earth has that come around so quickly? We’re having such a great time too πŸ™‚  I’m not saying he hasn’t been a challenge…. the last 4 weeks he’s been waking up at night.. every 1.5- 2 hours.  That’s not easy at all but it’s one of those things that you get used to.  Hopefully (fingers crossed) he’s moved beyond that phase now. Having called the ABA hotline on Monday afternoon to see if they could think of anything I hadn’t tried (they couldn’t really) he seems to have slept really well! Perhaps just hearing me talk about it to someone on a helpline was enough for him to realise he was wearing me out πŸ˜‰  He slept for 7 hours in a row on Monday night and 6 last night.  That means I’m starting to feel a little more human again! πŸ™‚

He’s been through his 4th Wonder Week (month more like!) and he’s starting to make lots of progress.  “Goo goo” and “gaa gaa” have emerged, he’s able to rattle objects, to bang things on tables and he’s determined to sit up… He doesn’t seem to care much about rolling mind you! Apart from the sleep thing, it’s awesome! πŸ™‚ Hopefully, the sleep thing is solved πŸ™‚

I did my keynote address for SAETA and i think it went pretty well:)  it was very strange having to make a move because I desperately needed to feed Tristan.  Breast feeding mummies will know what i mean!  4 hours without feeding was getting uncomfortable!  It was very strange working again.  I always hang out after things like that and talk to people.  This time I couldn’t, I had to run off and I’ve had to turn down a fair few offers of work since.  It’s a shame.  Conferences are a great way to get your name ‘out there’ but, I’m not ready to step out just yet πŸ™‚ When Tristan’s walking, stepping… so to speak, maybe I will too! πŸ™‚

We're not around right now. But you can send us an email and we'll get back to you, asap.
